There was no surprise in Tobolsk where 8th ranked Magnitka-Univ. (3-15) was defeated by second ranked Neftekhimik T. (15-5) 65-57 on Sunday. Ilya Kulakov scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Mikhail Kautin (214-86) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Yegor Tikanov (194-92) with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ivan Dudnik (196-94) scored 9 points. Magnitka-Univ.'s coach Artur Bigeev tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Neftekhimik T. maintains second position with 15-5 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Dynamo-MGTU. Magnitka-Univ. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 15 games lost. Neftekhimik T. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Magnitka-Univ. will play against Rusichi K. (#3) and hope to secure a win.
