The game in Parma supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Lucca (14-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Parma (6-9). Lucca did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 81-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Lucca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Parma's 40. Lucca forced 24 Parma turnovers. The best player for the winners was American-New Zealand guard Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: Players Group) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) who recorded 4 points and 17 rebounds and American guard Christine Clark (173-92, college: Harvard, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Lucca. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ragusa. Loser Parma keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Battipaglia. Lucca will meet at home Vigarano (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Parma will play against Napoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
