An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kaunas. Third ranked Lithuanian Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas faced second-ranked Belarusian Olimpia GrGAU. Host Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas (2-3) defeated guests from Grodno (3-2) 85-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olimpia GrGAU. The game without a history. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas forced 33 Olimpia GrGAU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Rasa Zemantauskaite-Matla (176-81) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 assists and point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92) who added 11 points during the contest. Four Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas players scored in double figures. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Katsiaryna Todras (171-90) responded with 9 points, 13 assists and 6 steals and Lithuanian center Volha Kapylova (186-82) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas maintains third position with 2-3 record having seven points less than leader Astana Tigers, which they share with Vega 1/Liepaja.
