Date: January 20, 2016
The game between third ranked BK Opava (16-9) and 11th ranked MMCITE Brno (5-18) in Opava on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. BK Opava outscored guests from Brno 93-68. The game without a history. BK Opava led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game, while MMCITE Brno only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded MMCITE Brno 35-21 including 21 on the defensive glass. Forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Jakub Sirina (186-87) supported him with 20 points and 7 assists. Four BK Opava players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by the former international swingman Michal Kremen (200-81) did not help to save the game for MMCITE Brno. The former international forward Jaroslav Prasil (200-80) added 18 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Opava maintains third position with 16-9 record having two points less than leader BK Decin. Loser MMCITE Brno keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost. BK Opava will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MMCITE Brno will play against USK Praha (#6) and hope to secure a win.
