Regular Season Round 22: Ammerud Bskt - Asker Aliens 92-99

Top ranked Ammerud Bskt (13-2) recorded its second loss in Oslo on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Asker Aliens (6-7) 99-92. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Ammerud Bskt. Asker Aliens forced 19 Ammerud Bskt turnovers. The former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) fired 34 points (!!!) for the winners. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. American-Somalian point guard Zaki Ise Mohamed (183-87, college: New Hampshire) produced 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Ronald Timus (196-84, college: Morgan St.) added 24 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ammerud Bskt's coach Kelvin Woods rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains eighth position with 6-7 record. Ammerud Bskt at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Asker Aliens are looking forward to face higher ranked Baerum Basket (#7) in Bekkestua in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round.
