Regular Season Round 32: Foshan LL - Xinjiang FT 99-98

There was a change at the CBA leadership position after last games. Round 32 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige (25-7). They were edged by twentieth ranked Foshan (4-28) 99-98 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Foshan made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Foshan outrebounded Xinjiang Flying Tige 54-39 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and the former international center ZhengDong Tang (213-84) who added 18 points and 18 rebounds during the contest. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) responded with 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Foshan maintains twentieth position with 4-28 record. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Liaoning H. who have the same record. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play next round against DongGuan Leopards trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Foshan will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu in Taiyuan.
