There was an upset when higher ranked Aix-Maurienne (12-6) lost to fifteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (7-11) in Aix-les-Bains 72-84 on Friday. The game without a history. JSA Bordeaux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. JSA Bordeaux forced 20 Aix-Maurienne turnovers. Aix-Maurienne was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Tunisian swingman Sami Driss (190-82) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 4 steals. JSA Bordeaux will face league's leader ADA Blois at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aix-Maurienne will play against CFBB (#18) in Paris and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
