Regular Season Round 15: TAKE Tolosa - La Fecha 89-65

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked TAKE Tolosa (5-6) outleveled at home 14th ranked La Fecha (2-9) 89-65 on Saturday. TAKE Tolosa dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to La Fecha's 14. They outrebounded La Fecha 39-21 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. TAKE Tolosa shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Goar Arteche (186-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 4 assists. Guard Lander Lasa (193-88) helped adding 25 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The best for the losing side was Inigo Velasco (185-96) with 21 points and guard Jorge Martinez (181-96) scored 10 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TAKE Tolosa moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A, which they share with Valladolid Univ. Newly promoted La Fecha keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. TAKE Tolosa will face higher ranked Cantbasket (#6) in Santander in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. La Fecha will play at home against Valladolid Univ. (#7) and hope to win that game.
