We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Katowice where 14th ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (5-14) was crushed by fifteenth ranked AZS AWF Mick. (5-14) 84-64 on Saturday. AZS AWF Mick. outrebounded Slask 2 Wroclaw 38-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Jakub Musial (184-98) responded with 17 points and point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (180-96) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS AWF Mick. moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Biofarm PZN and Slask 2 Wroclaw. AZS AWF Mick. will face league's leader Krosno on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
