There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Napoli (7-9) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Parma (7-9) 67-60 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 23-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and American guard Christine Clark (173-92, college: Harvard, agency: LBM Management) who added 19 points during the contest (made all of her eight free throws). Four Parma players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bulgarian-American guard Noelle Quinn (183-85, college: UCLA) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian center Gintare Petronyte (196-89) scored 17 points. Parma moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Umbertide and Napoli. Napoli lost third consecutive game. Parma will meet at home Torino (#9) in the next round. Napoli will play against Familia Schio and hope to secure a win.
