Very important is a road loss of second ranked Rivas Promete (11-4) against eighth ranked IF Air Europa (8-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Rivas Promete was defeated by IF Air Europa in S'Arenal 77-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rivas Promete. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-62. IF Air Europa outrebounded Rivas Promete 41-22 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. IF Air Europa maintains eighth place in Group B with 8-7 record. Loser Rivas Promete keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Sant Adria. IF Air Europa will meet Olimpico 64 (#12) in the next round. Rivas Promete will play against Andratx (#13) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LFB just one year after relegation.
