Regular Season Round 33: Sichuan BW - Shanghai S. 112-90

Date: January 24, 2016
Very expected game when 11th ranked Shanghai Sharks (15-18) were rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Sichuan BW (25-8) 112-90. The game was mostly controlled by Sichuan BW. Shanghai Sharks was better in second period 31-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sichuan BW made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and center Cheng Jia (207-91) accounted for 20 points and 11 rebounds. Center Quanxi Wu (210-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward Bernard James (208-85, college: Florida St.) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Shanghai Sharks in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sichuan BW moved-up to third place, which they share with Shandong FB. Shanghai Sharks at the other side keep the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Sichuan BW's next round opponent will be Guandong Tigers (#5) in Dongguan. Shanghai Sharks will play on the road against Foshan (#20) and hope to win that game.
