Everything went according to plan when thirteenth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (15-18) won against on the road bottom-ranked Foshan (4-29) 127-118. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 32-27 Foshan's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 127-118 at the end of the game. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) nailed a triple-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 16 assists for the winning side and forward ZhaoBao Ge (212-92) accounted for 23 points and 13 rebounds. American swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 44 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) added 17 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Foshan in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Shanxi Zhongyu moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Shanghai S. and Qingdao E. Foshan at the other side stay dead last with 29 lost games. Shanxi Zhongyu's next round opponent will be Qingdao Eagles (#12) at home. Foshan will play against Shanghai Sharks (#11) and hope to win that game.
