Regular Season Round 17: Slavoj Litom. - Sokol Prazky 74-53

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Sokol Prazky (12-4) on the court of fourth ranked Slavoj BK Litomerice on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Slavoj BK Litomerice 74-53. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Sokol Prazky. Slavoj BK Litomerice looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Sokol Prazky's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Sokol Prazky helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Martin Basta (190-92) chipped in 14 points. Point guard Filip Kroutil (185-96) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tomas Gavenda (182) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Slavoj BK Litomerice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Nymburk B. Sokol Prazky at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Slavoj BK Litomerice is looking forward to face Kara Trutnov (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Sokol Prazky's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Praha USK Praha B.
