Regular Season Round 9: Suduva - Okzhetpes 93-66

An interesting game for Lithuanian Suduva (10-0) which hosted in Marijampole second-best Kazakhstan Okzhetpes (6-3). Leader Suduva had an easy win 93-66. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Okzhetpes. The game without a history. Suduva led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Okzhetpes turnovers. Suduva players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Okzhetpes' players. The best player for the winners was power forward Iveta Salkauske (197-82, college: Illinois) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds and Ukrainian forward Liudmyla Naumenko (188-93, agency: LBM Management) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Suduva. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Okzhetpes at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Suduva's next round opponent will be Interkhim (#3) in Odessa, which may be the game of the day.
