Regular Season Round 34: Xinjiang FT - Guangsha L. 106-105

The most exciting game of round 34 in the CBA took place in Urumqi. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (24-10) to second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (27-7) 106-105 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-105. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tige made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 assists. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) replied with 37 points (!!!) and 9 assists and Taiwanese guard Chih-Chieh Lin (192-82) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Xinjiang Flying Tige keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Liaoning H. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Guangdong ST. Xinjiang Flying Tige is looking forward to face Shanxi Zhongyu (#11) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against Qingdao Eagles (#12) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
