No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sparta Praha (9-9) defeated at home 8th ranked Basket Kosice (5-13) 74-66 on Friday. Sparta Praha made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Sparta Praha outrebounded Basket Kosice 35-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Basket Kosice was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Milos Jovic (175-97) who scored 27 points and 4 assists. Forward Michal Kozak (200-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Matej Schinko (208-91) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sparta Praha moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Loko Plzen. Newly promoted Basket Kosice keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost.
