Regular Season Round 20: Walter Tigers - EWE Baskets 75-81

Date: January 30, 2016
Not a big story in a game in Tuebingen where 14th ranked Walter Tigers (6-14) were defeated by seventh ranked EWE Baskets (13-6) 81-75 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Vaughn Duggins (190-87, college: Wright St.) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. EWE Baskets' coach Mladen Drijencic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Montenegrin guard Vladimir Mihailovic (193-90, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) scored 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EWE Baskets moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ludwigsburg. Loser Walter Tigers keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. EWE Baskets will meet at home bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Walter Tigers will play against the league's leader Brose Baskets (#1) in Bamberg and hope to secure a win.
