Regular Season Round 21: Biofarm PZN - Sokol Lancut 56-50

The game between second ranked Sokol Lancut (18-3) and thirteenth ranked Biofarm PZN (7-14) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Sokol Lancut was defeated by Biofarm PZN in a tough game in Poznan 50-56. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Sokol Lancut. It was a good game for center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Jakub Fiszer (187-95) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Swingman Jerzy Koszuta (192-82, agency: Promotex) answered with 12 points and guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-86, agency: Promotex) added 13 points in the effort for Sokol Lancut. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Biofarm PZN maintains thirteenth place with 7-14 record. Sokol Lancut at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Biofarm PZN are looking forward to face higher ranked Notec Inowr. (#11) in Inowroclaw in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sokol Lancut will play at home against Legia W-wa (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
