Regular Season Round 11: Ciego de Avila - Camaguey 72-49

An interesting game for Ciego (8-3) which hosted in Avila 4th placed Tigres (6-5). Third ranked Ciego had an easy win 72-49. Ciego forced 20 Tigres turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Yasser Rodriguez (187-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. Guard Dainier Martinez (184-96) helped adding 12 points. Salvadorean Yordanis Jaca responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and forward Keiler Cala (195-94) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ciego have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Capitalinos. Tigres at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. Ciego will again play against Tigres (#4) in Camaguey in the next round. Tigres will have a break next round.
