Guangdong trounced Shenyang and eased into the next round of the playoffs. The game was mostly controlled by Guangdong Dolphins. Shenyang Golden Lions managed to win fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guangdong Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Shenyang Golden Lions' players. American center Candace Parker (193-86, college: Tennessee) scored 32 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Dong Yu (195-93) chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Guangdong Dolphins players scored in double figures. The former international forward Meng Li (185-95) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Shuang Zhao (188-90) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds.
