The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Batumi (11-5) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Mgzavrebi (9-7) 74-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Batumi. Batumi cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Avtandili Lominashvili (204-92) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. International Besik Lezhava (192-86, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and Ukrainian forward Leonid Stefanishin (199-85) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Batumi. Five Batumi players scored in double figures. Mgzavrebi maintains fourth position with 9-7 record. Batumi at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost.
