Very expected game in J.Hradec where 10th ranked BK Lions Hradec (7-21) was defeated by sixth ranked USK Praha (13-15) 84-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. USK Praha led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for USK Praha especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Swingman Michal Mares (192-92) scored 21 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lukas Festr (185-94) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jiri Soula (185-95) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Josh Nofflet (194-88, college: Lee) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. USK Praha moved-up to fifth place, which they share with BK Kolin. BK Lions Hradec lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost. USK Praha will face higher ranked BK Opava (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Lions Hradec will play against NH Ostrava (#7) and hope to win that game.
