Regular Season Round 18: Tur Bielsk Pdl. - Stal SW 99-93

There was a surprise result in Bielsk Podlaski where eleventh ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (5-12) defeated higher ranked Stal SW (8-10) 99-93 on Saturday. Tur Bielsk Pdl. made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. outrebounded Stal SW 46-29 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Tur Bielsk Pdl. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Dawid Zagula (174-96) who recorded 31 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Mateusz Labuda (183-83) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tur Bielsk Pdl. moved-up to tenth place in Group B. Stal SW at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Polonia W-wa (#12) in Warszawa in the next round.
