Everything went according to plan in Kutno where sixth ranked AZS Polfarmex (13-7) won against 14th ranked Slask (4-15) 71-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Polfarmex. Slask was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Slask 44-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. American power forward Jarvis Williams (203-93, college: Murray St.) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for AZS Polfarmex. They maintain sixth place with 13-7 record. Loser Slask keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face Wilki Morskie (#8) in Szczecin in the next round. Slask will play at home against Energa Czarni (#5) and hope to win that game.
