Regular Season Round 19: Slovanka MB - Kara Trutnov 60-81

No shocking result in a game in Vodochody where fourth ranked Kara Trutnov (12-6) smashed 10th ranked Basket Slovanka MB (5-13) 81-60 on Saturday. Kara Trutnov made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They also forced 21 Basket Slovanka MB turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Emily Cady (188-93, college: Nebraska) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (made all of her eleven free throws !!!). Forward Andrea Ovsikova (178-89) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Serbian center Ivana Brajkovic (196-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian forward Dragana Gobeljic (188-88) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kara Trutnov moved-up to third place, which they share with Valosun Brno. Basket Slovanka MB lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Kara Trutnov will meet Zabiny (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Basket Slovanka MB will play against the league's leader Basketball Nymburk and hope to secure a win.
