An interesting game took place in Orvieto where higher ranked Parma (8-10) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Orvieto (6-12) 73-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Parma. The game was mostly controlled by Orvieto. Parma was better in second period 19-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Croatian swingman Jelena Ivezic (182-84) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists. Canadian forward Taryn Wicijowski (190-91, college: Utah, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international swingman Laura Spreafico (180-91, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points in the effort for Parma. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Orvieto moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Battipaglia. Parma at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Orvieto's next round opponent will be league's leader Lucca at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
