Regular Season Round 18: Sevilla II - Linense 70-67

A very interesting game took place in Sevilla. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Linense (10-4) to eighth ranked Sevilla II (2-12) 70-67 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Linense. Linense cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was forward Alejandro Rodriguez (200-98) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Daniel Vicente (184-98) chipped in 17 points. Sevilla II's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Juan Ruiz (199-78) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center Jose Maria Balmon (204-81, agency: Duran International) added 20 points and 6 assists respectively. Sevilla II maintains eighth position in Group D-West with 2-12 record. Newly promoted Linense keeps the second place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
