Second Stage Round 1: GBA Sparta - Zlin 90-68

Second defeat of league's leader SKB Zlin (3-2) against GBA Sparta (3-2) 90-68 was the most important game of the last round. GBA Sparta dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to SKB Zlin's 30. They outrebounded SKB Zlin 53-24 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. GBA Sparta looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by SKB Zlin's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Michal Weiss (199-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Milos Jovic (175-97) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five GBA Sparta players scored in double figures. GBA Sparta's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. David Nehoda (193-91) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Roman Mensik (192) added 6 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for SKB Zlin. SKB Zlin will play next round against strong BK Loko Plzen trying to make it back to the top of the standings. GBA Sparta will try to continue on its current victory against MMCITE Brno 2 on the road.
