Regular Season Round 19: MCKiS Jaworz. - MKS DG 2 78-60

Very expected game when bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-19) lost to third ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (14-5) in Jaworzno 60-78 on Wednesday. MCKiS Jaworz. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 34. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for guard Tomasz Bryzek (195-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Aleksander Lenczuk (193-93) contributed with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Jakub Wantuch (195-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Mateusz Szczypinski (193-98) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MKS DG 2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MCKiS Jaworz. maintains third place in Group C with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader AZS AGH Alstom. MKS DG 2 lost their nineteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 19 games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will face Zaglebie (#5) in Sosnowiec in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play at home against AZS PCz (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
