Very expected game in Poznan where 13th ranked Biofarm PZN (7-17) was defeated by sixth ranked Pogon Prudnik (15-9) 67-52 on Saturday. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) fired 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Swingman Jakub Fiszer (187-95) produced 12 points and center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to fifth place. Biofarm PZN lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Slask 2 Wroclaw. Pogon Prudnik will meet higher ranked Legia W-wa (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biofarm PZN will play against Astoria Bydg. (#7) in Bydgoszcz and hope to secure a win.
