Mitsubishi upset Fujitsu to surge ahead in the series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fujitsu RW won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mitsubishi K. dominated on the defensive end, holding Fujitsu RW to just 4 points in first quarter. They also forced 20 Fujitsu RW turnovers. International center Asako Oh (189-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. International point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) came up with 15 points and the former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Fujitsu RW in the defeat.
