Quarter-Finals Round 1: Denso Iris - Toyota A. 52-47

Denso Iris toppled Toyota Alvark for the first win in the playoffs. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Toyota A. won fourth quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denso Iris made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Minami Iju (168-90) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. At the losing side swingman Kaede Kondo (173-91) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Toyota A.'s coach Don Beck rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
