Regular Season Round 23: San Severo - Vasto 80-48

Date: February 21, 2016
There was no surprise when 12th ranked Vasto (7-16) was outleveled on the road by second ranked San Severo (19-4) 80-48 on Sunday. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (182-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four San Severo players scored in double figures. Guard Jacopo Grassi (190-95) answered with 13 points and forward Vittorio Ierbs (190-86) added 13 points in the effort for Vasto. Newly promoted San Severo maintains second place in B with 19-4 record behind leader Forli, which they share with Bergamo. Loser Vasto keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. San Severo will face Monteroni (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vasto will play against Falconara (#3) and hope to win that game.
