Quarter-Finals Round 2: Mitsubishi K. - Fujitsu RW 54-66

Fujitsu upset Mitsubishi and forced the decisive third game in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Mitsubishi K. managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. International center Asako Oh (189-87) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and international center Risa Nishioka (184-97) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
