Fujitsu toppled Mitsubishi to earn the semifinal birth. It looked good early as Mitsubishi K. took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fujitsu RW had a 12-10 second period charge getting the lead and Mitsubishi K. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-61. Mitsubishi K. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for international swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and international center Asako Oh (189-87) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Mitsubishi K. in the defeat.
