Quarter-Finals Round 3: Denso Iris - Toyota A. 59-51

Denso Iris held off Toyota Alvark to advance into the WJBL semifinals. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-51. Denso Iris dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota A.'s 16. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Kumiko Oba (169-88) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was international forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and center Mori Binge (180-88) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds.
