Second Stage Round 7: RIG Mark - Brahe Basket 98-63

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked RIG Mark's (2-9) home victory over 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-13) in Kinna 98-63 on Wednesday. The game without a history. RIG Mark led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 32. RIG Mark forced 26 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for swingman Kevin Senghore-Peterson (194-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Alexander Karras (187-98) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Four RIG Mark players scored in double figures. RIG Mark's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Karl Ble Cato (-94) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Vahe Gazigian added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Brahe Basket. Newly promoted RIG Mark maintains eighth place in BEHS forts with 2-9 record. Brahe Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. RIG Mark will face higher ranked Huddinge (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brahe Basket will play against Lobas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
