Regular Season Round 23: Meliksah - Acibadem 74-87

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Meliksah (8-15) lost to second ranked Acibadem (19-4) in Kayseri 74-87 on Friday. Acibadem outrebounded Meliksah 33-18 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) contributed with 26 points and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Jeremy Ingram (190-92, college: N.C.Central) answered with 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and the other American import Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Meliksah. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Acibadem have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Acibadem maintains second place with 19-4 record having just three points less than leader Tofas. Meliksah lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Acibadem will face Akhisar Bld (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Meliksah will play against Eskisehir Basket (#7) in Edirne and hope to win that game.
