Regular Season Round 26: GTK Gliwice - GKS Tychy 78-53

Bottom-ranked GTK Gliwice managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they outleveled fourth-ranked GKS Tychy 78-53. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 25-point difference proves that GTK Gliwice was well-prepared to that game. GTK Gliwice had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. Swingman Piotr Pluta (193-81, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Center Lukasz Paul (205-89, agency: Promotex) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. GTK Gliwice's coach Pawel Turkiewicz felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Wojciech Barycz (208-84, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points in the effort for GKS Tychy. GTK Gliwice maintains sixteenth position with 6-19 record. GKS Tychy at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. GTK Gliwice will play against higher ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (#14) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GKS Tychy will play against Rosa II Radom (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
