Date: February 27, 2016
Important game to mention about took place in Challans. Fourteenth ranked Vendee Challans (11-13) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 15th ranked JSA Bordeaux (9-15) 77-74 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JSA Bordeaux won fourth quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DR Congolese-Belgian forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. American forward Mike Myers (206-92, college: Md-E Shore) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (201-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for JSA Bordeaux. Vendee Challans moved-up to tenth place, which they share with La Rochelle and SAP Vaucluse. Loser JSA Bordeaux keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Vendee Challans will face bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JSA Bordeaux will play at home against SAP Vaucluse and hope to win that game.
