Regular Season Round 21: AGOR - Koroivos 75-67

Everything went according to plan in Rethymno where sixth ranked AGOR (10-12) beat 12th ranked Koroivos (7-15) 75-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-67. AGOR forced 19 Koroivos turnovers. Strangely Koroivos outrebounded AGOR 44-26 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Haralampos Giannopoulos (200-89) who scored 18 points. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) chipped in 15 points. AGOR's coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos (202-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and Slovenian-Serbian point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-82) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Koroivos players scored in double figures. AGOR moved-up to fifth place. Koroivos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. AGOR will meet bottom-ranked Kavala (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Koroivos will play against Kolossos and hope to secure a win.
