Regular Season Round 34: USK Praha - Usti n/Labem 79-65

There was no surprise when 9th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (10-22) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked USK Praha (16-16) 79-65. The game was mostly controlled by USK Praha. BK Usti nad Labem was better in fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Lukas Festr (185-94) notched 25 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Jan Krivanek (203-94) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. USK Praha's coach Mirsad Alilovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) did not help to save the game for BK Usti nad Labem. Forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) added 14 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. USK Praha have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-16 record. BK Usti nad Labem at the other side keeps the ninth place with 22 games lost. USK Praha's next round opponent will be higher ranked BK Pardubice (#4) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. BK Usti nad Labem will play against NH Ostrava (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
