Everything went according to plan when second ranked Rivas Promete (16-4) outplayed at home 6th ranked Plenilunio (11-9) 75-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rivas Promete. Plenilunio was better in second period 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivas Promete dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Plenilunio's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Plenilunio's players. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Rivas Promete players scored in double figures. Maria Ruiz-Canela replied with 9 points and swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) added 7 points in the effort for Plenilunio. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas Promete have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 16-4 record having just two points less than leader Alcobendas. Plenilunio lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost.
