Regular Season Round 24: Scafati Cesarano - Maddaloni 84-73

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Maddaloni (6-18) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Scafati Cesarano (14-10) 84-73 on Sunday. Scafati Cesarano outrebounded Maddaloni 40-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ernesto Carrichiello (195-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and naturalized Croatian forward Marko Mlinar (200-83) who added 8 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Scafati Cesarano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Argentinian Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Salvatore Desiato (180-82) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Newly promoted Scafati Cesarano maintains sixth position in B with 14-10 record, which they share with Vicenza. Loser Maddaloni keeps the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Scafati Cesarano will face Fondi (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maddaloni will play against Isernia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
