The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 26-16 last quarter charge of Cangrejeros cut the lead to 83-79 at the end of the game. Vaqueros players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Cangrejeros. His fellow American import forward Javon McCrea (201-92, college: Buffalo) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
