Strangely Jaroslav outrebounded Stroitiel Engels 38-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by forward Nikita Zverev (207-94) who scored that evening 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Victor Zvarykin (198-86) supported him with 15 points. Four Stroitiel Engels players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by power forward Pavel Krykov (210-84) did not help to save the game for Jaroslav. Forward Mikhail Yudov (198-89) added 11 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Jaroslav's coach Tadas Stockus rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Stroitiel Engels have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Stroitiel Engels maintains fifth position with 18-16 record. Jaroslav lost sixth consecutive game. Jaroslav at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 20 games lost. Stroitiel Engels will meet higher ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jaroslav will have a break next round.
