Rather predictable result in Torino where thirteenth ranked Openjobmetis VA (8-13) defeated bottom-ranked Auxilium TO (6-15) 84-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Openjobmetis VA. Auxilium TO was better in second period 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Openjobmetis VA shot 60.8 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Openjobmetis VA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Luca Campani (208-90) stepped up and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (197-88, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Openjobmetis VA players scored in double figures. Openjobmetis VA's coach Paolo Moretti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84) scored 24 points. Openjobmetis VA moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Betaland CdO. Newly promoted Auxilium TO stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Openjobmetis VA will face higher ranked Dolomiti En. TR (#6) in Trento in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Auxilium TO will play on the road against the league's leader Armani Milano (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
