Second Stage Round 8: Brahe Basket - Lobas 77-110

Not a big story in a game in Huskvarna where 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-14) was rolled over by seventh ranked Lobas (8-9) 110-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Lobas. Brahe Basket was better in second period 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lobas dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 40. Lobas forced 21 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jesper Wennerholm (188-96) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists and guard Timmie Andersson (190-97) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Lobas players scored in double figures. Coach Jorgen Lillieholm's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Jordanian forward Ali Mamoun (185-83) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds and Adrien Mathieu scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted Lobas maintains seventh position in BEHS forts with 8-9 record. Brahe Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Lobas will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play at home against the league's leader Koping (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
