Petrochemi cruised past Shah.Tabriz and swept the quarterfinal series. The game without a history. Petrochimi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Petrochimi had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Shah.Tabriz helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Dominican-American point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville, agency: Duran International) nailed 14 points and 6 assists for the winning side and international Behnam Yakhchali (197-95) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Petrochimi players scored in double figures. The former international forward Karam Ahmadian (198-77) came up with 21 points and Ebrahim Beigi added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Shah.Tabriz in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
